Another possible reason was that the gods had continuously absorbed the tree’s power while sacrificing vast numbers of people, repeating this process over countless years.
Whether it was the power recovered from the remnants of the Divine Osmanthus Tree or the power gathered from people, gods, mountains, rivers, the earth, trees, flowers, birds, beasts, and countless other living things, the accumulated energy was extraordinarily dense. He was probably a remnant of the consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord, preserved within both the Divine Osmanthus Tree and the main body of Supreme Star Lord itself. Countless years ago, people had focused only on the main body of the Divine Osmanthus Tree that had descended from the heavens, overlooking the fact that a fragment of the main body of the Supreme Star Lord lay beneath it.
When Fu Young recovered the core of the Fate Bestowing Array and obtained some fragments of his memories, he learned that the Supreme Star Lord and the Divine Osmanthus Tree existed in a mutually dependent relationship.
Without the main body of the Supreme Star Lord, the remnants of the Divine Osmanthus Tree alone could not continue growing and recovering. Likewise, without the Divine Osmanthus Tree, the damaged main body of the Supreme Star Lord could not recover. Both would remain frozen in the state in which they had been damaged, passively waiting for outsiders to extract their remaining power or find ways to exploit it, just as they had done with the Fate Bestowing Array and the Crimson Earth.
Fu Young did not know how many fragments the consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord had scattered into when he was attacked, nor did he know what condition the other fragments were in now. Compared with those other fragments of consciousness, Fu Young had been fortunate. The consciousness that remained with him was connected to both the Divine Osmanthus Tree and the main body of the Supreme Star Lord, and fragments of both still existed.
That was why the Divine Osmanthus Tree had been able to retain its vitality. Even while damaged, it could absorb the endless energy of the void to nourish and restore the fragments of both the tree and the Supreme Star Lord.
After a long period of time, the first great war among the gods finally erupted. By recovering the power that the inhabitants of the Myriad Gods Realm had absorbed and cultivated until it had grown countless times stronger, the two sets of fragments underwent substantial restoration. The remnant consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord awakened as well.
Although the scattered consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord had awakened, it remained extremely weak. He knew that the only way to recover completely was to reclaim all the fragments of his original body.
However, he was currently parasitic within the Myriad Gods Realm and lacked even the ability to travel between realms. To recover the scattered fragments as quickly as possible, part of the Supreme Star Lord’s will decided to use the creative life force within the Divine Osmanthus Tree to create a new body for himself.
In other words, he would undergo a process similar to reincarnation. However, this body had been specially created by the Supreme Star Lord himself to facilitate travel between realms and the recovery of the fragments of his original body.
What the Supreme Star Lord had probably failed to anticipate was that the native inhabitants of the Myriad Gods Realm, whom he had never considered worthy of his attention, would engage in such fierce battles over territory and power at the very moment his new body had been fully formed and his soul was about to enter it.
As a result, he was cast out of the Myriad Gods Realm. He failed to follow the plan he had envisioned, in which he would reclaim the memories stored within a branch of the Divine Osmanthus Tree as soon as he was born.
Awakening the consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord and carrying out the mission of recovering the fragments of his original body was precisely what he was meant to do. Indeed, the Divine Tree in the Myriad Gods Realm was merely a branch of the original Divine Osmanthus Tree. Countless years ago, when the Supreme Star Lord created a new life for himself, he had already decided to incorporate the essence of the Divine Osmanthus Tree fragments and the fragments of the Supreme Star Lord’s main body into his new body.
From the moment he appeared in the form of a fruit countless years ago, the fruit that embodied him had been continuously absorbing the essence of the Divine Osmanthus Tree and the Supreme Star Lord fragments. After the passage of countless years, when he finally emerged, the Divine Tree that appeared to be flourishing in the outside world had been reduced to an empty shell, serving only as a vessel for the remaining consciousness and memories of the Supreme Star Lord.
However, because he had failed to recover his memories and awaken the consciousness of the Supreme Star Lord immediately upon his birth, he had grown up as an entirely new life in a completely new world. He had developed his own memories, personality, name, and everything else, eventually becoming someone known as Fu Young. Yet his soul had indeed been formed from fragments of the Supreme Star Lord’s consciousness.
