The call for Alice Turner came from Isla Lane, with Thomas Fisher standing right beside her, and he noticed it as soon as she picked up the phone.
"I’ll go over with Mom and Dad first, you take your time with the call." Thomas Fisher quietly squeezed Alice Turner’s hand, then left the living room with the others.
Alice Turner’s reaction just now wasn’t very noticeable, and no one else detected anything unusual, assuming it was work-related without further thought.
Once everyone left the living room, Alice Turner answered the call, which was on the verge of hanging up automatically by then, and the person on the other end was getting a bit anxious.
"Alice! Why did you take so long to answer? What are you busy with?" Isla Lane was quite anxious while waiting, and her words carried a questioning tone right from the start.
Alice Turner didn’t argue with the person on the phone, directly ignoring their questioning attitude, "Auntie! Is there a reason you called me?"
It’s just another issue about Benjamin Shaw; whenever she gets a call, it’s always like this, and this time was no exception.

Lily Turner strode into the living room, and upon hearing footsteps, Alice Turner looked up at the doorway. Seeing her sister, she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Anthony said you didn’t go to the office today; is something going on at home?" Isla Lane’s voice echoed in her ear, and Alice Turner looked away from Lily Turner to focus on the call.
Was this an attempt to pry information out of her, or had the person on the phone already heard something?
Alice Turner wasn’t sure what Isla Lane knew, but she prayed Anthony hadn’t let anything slip, "Nothing’s going on at home, it’s just my sister needed me for something."
While worrying about how to make up an excuse, she saw her sister pointing at her own nose, signaling her, and she immediately understood what her sister meant.
"Since Lily needs you for something, I won’t disturb you then. Just remember what you said, come to the hospital to see Benjamin Shaw tomorrow." Isla Lane kept repeating the same message, urging Alice Turner to visit Benjamin Shaw more often.
Since when does Lily’s business mean I won’t disturb you? If it were someone else, would you have kept rambling?
Alice Turner rolled her eyes mentally at Isla Lane but maintained a calm facade, "Auntie! I’ll hang up now."
"Alright."
Isla Lane replied with an "Alright," and Alice Turner immediately hung up the phone.
