Chapter 738: Chapter 264: Little Sister? Afraid She’ll Become the "Good Sister" Someday
In the bedroom, Su Zelin was watching the second part of "American Pie" with Qin Shiqing.
But just like most young couples who have recently gotten together, the two couldn’t help but engage in a bit of mischief when spending time together.
Having been influenced by a rascal for most of the holiday, Qin Shiqing wasn’t as reserved as before. Even knowing the two elders of the Su family were downstairs, she still let Su Zelin fool around.
This continued until footsteps were heard, at which point they pretended to casually watch the movie. The girl calmly tidied her disheveled clothes, her face not even reddening.
They were used to sneaking around and had become highly alert, able to sense anything around them.
However, they were baffled this time.
The footsteps didn’t belong to their family members.
Everyone’s walking pace and strength are different, and footsteps can be distinctive. Usually, if it were someone familiar, they could identify the person.
"Senior..."
As soon as she walked into the room, Huang Panpan’s words were cut off because she saw her rival in love.
However, as a senior who had been in the student council for a few years, the junior was no longer that impulsive, naive high schooler. She had learned patience and composure.
Besides, this wasn’t the first time she’d seen Qin Shiqing in Su Zelin’s room; she had encountered it before. After all, they were neighbors, and visiting was normal.
As long as they wore clothes, Huang Panpan didn’t see a problem.
Senior Shiqing must be doing this on purpose, knowing that I usually come over on the fourth day of the lunar new year, trying to drive me away like this.
But I won’t let her have her way!
"Oh, Senior Shiqing is here too."
The junior feigned ignorance.
Qin Shiqing was slightly taken aback. She didn’t mean to make a point and hadn’t expected Huang Panpan to come; she just spent a lot of time with Su Zelin this holiday, so she had come over early.
"Oh, junior Panpan, what brings you here?"
"Hehe, I came to wish the aunt and uncle and Senior a happy new year. What movie is it? It looks quite interesting."
While speaking, the junior casually brought over a chair and sat on Su Zelin’s other side.
This arrangement formed a left-blue-dragon, right-white-tiger, old-cow-in-the-middle setup.
The rascal sandwiched in the middle felt somewhat awkward.
It’s one thing if it were in the living room, but the problem was it was his own room.
To make matters worse, the movie was currently showing a threesome scene, which added to the awkwardness.
If it were just him and Qin Shiqing, it might add a bit of romantic tension, but with the junior present, it was different.
If they didn’t turn it off, it was quite embarrassing.
If they did, it seemed too deliberate.
Speaking of which, this teenage awakening movie was really something. The film itself contained bold scenes, and off-screen, even more shocking. On Tom, the male lead’s birthday, his wife hired a call girl, and once revealed it on a show.
If this were an incident involving a male star from our country, these affairs would be hidden at all costs, otherwise it would be game over.
The two girls watched, blushing, yet neither left.
Halfway through the movie, a head stealthily peeked through the door; it was Zhao Lixia trying to check things out.
Seeing everyone getting along peacefully, she felt a mix of joy and worry, also impressed by her son’s ability.
Truth be told, her son was quite skilled at charming girls, surpassing even the young Su Jianjun at the steel plant back in the day, excelling in every way.
"How was it?"
Returning to the living room, Old Su asked.
He was curious too, but couldn’t bring himself to sneak a peek, relying on his wife to report any incidents.
"It’s fine. They’re watching a movie together, not fighting or causing a fuss."
Zhao Lixia reported truthfully.
Old Su thought to himself, what are you thinking? Even if Panpan were to argue, Shiqing wouldn’t. She would never do that.
Do you think people are as hot-tempered as you were back then, not putting up with even a bit of sand in your eyes?
After the movie finished, they couldn’t just sit quietly in the room anymore, so they moved to the living room for tea.
Huang Panpan spent the whole day at the Su family’s house, not leaving until after dinner, during which Liu Sufen dropped by and also noted it, frowning.
However, in front of Su Jianjun and Zhao Lixia, she couldn’t say anything.
It wasn’t until Qin Shiqing returned home that she sought out her daughter, asking, "Shiqing, why did that Huang Panpan come again?"
"She comes over every year on the fourth or fifth day of the new year to pay her respects. I almost forgot myself."
"That’s not the point. Zelin is already your boyfriend; why haven’t you made it clear to her to stop bothering you?"
Granny Qin expressed her dissatisfaction.
Before her daughter and the neighbor’s kid were official, she had no right to intervene.
But now that they were together, considering Su Zelin as a future son-in-law, she felt she could say something.
"Zelin has already told her, back in high school. He considers her like a sister, but Huang Panpan doesn’t listen, and there’s nothing he can do about it."
Qin Shiqing replied helplessly.
Liu Sufen huffed, "You tell Zelin to be more assertive, or you be more forceful; curse her out a bit, and she’ll naturally leave!"
"Mom, how could Zelin and I do such a thing?"
Qin Shiqing exclaimed, half amused and half exasperated.
Unless they were enemies, it was evident that Su Zelin wouldn’t resort to such drastic measures to dissuade Huang Panpan.
No matter how thick-skinned the junior was, persistently clinging on like a stubborn patch, her care for Su Zelin was undeniable.
Qing Mei was a deeply affectionate person and couldn’t bring himself to curse Huang Panpan away. At most, he would try persuading her, but persuasion didn’t work and there was nothing else to be done.
Not to mention, when dealing with persistent pursuers herself, she couldn’t outright sever ties either, like back in the day with Xie Tianyu from the student council. The most she could do was make it clear she wasn’t interested, and cursing wasn’t an option.
