But Ye Tianfan did it anyway; he fears no failure because he knows that even if he fails, he will not die. This is Ye Tianfan's confidence!
Ever since he started practicing immortal cultivation, whenever facing invincible opponents, Ye Tianfan seemed to have exceptionally good luck, almost every time turning danger into safety, everything ending well. To Ye Tianfan, this isn't a feeling he likes; he has never truly enjoyed a battle that nearly cost his life.
Ye Tianfan is someone who deeply desires a grand battle. At times, he even fantasizes about manifesting his Heart Demon into reality so he could face a rival equal in strength, a sworn enemy against whom he could fight fiercely!
In this state, Ye Tianfan longs to know if he can surpass himself and climb to a higher level. Ye Tianfan loves the feeling of progress and hates staying in the same place.
In his previous life, although not being invincible across the world, he was close to it. Thus, Ye Tianfan has always yearned for an evenly-matched enemy. Yama Hall doesn't qualify, though they are a family nemesis; Ye Tianfan considers them unworthy of being a friendly rival and only fit to be stepping stones on his path forward!
The white Vibrating Power and the slightly reddish Fire Lotus Sword, when reaching every critical point, no matter how Ye Tianfan pressed, refused to fuse further. Moreover, as Ye Tianfan pressed harder in irritation, the two masses of turbulent energies began to grow more volatile.
"Boom!"
A muffled thunderclap echoed, Ye Tianfan's left hand split open as the base of his thumb blew apart. Gazing at the Fire Lotus Sword, flickering with red and white electrical lights like a ball of electricity, Ye Tianfan's pupils contracted slightly, knowing this was the key moment of success or failure.
As for why, besides Vibrating Power and Flame Power, there appeared electrical lights—it's because the energy fluctuations created by the other two energies resulted in severe friction, perfectly adhering to the principle of triboelectricity, hence the electrical lights appeared!
"Ye Tianfan, you're about to succeed, yet also on the verge of failure. How will you choose? Will you directly throw away these energies you can hardly control, or continue with the fusion? You know, if you choose to throw them away, even failing won't matter, but choosing to continue doesn't guarantee success, and failure is highly probable!" The Taichu Immortal thoughtfully remarked on sensing the turbulent energy surging around Ye Tianfan.
At this moment, Ye Tianfan had no time to care about anything external; not even an attack from the snake-like outside creature could rouse his reaction. His eyes only saw the turbulent white Vibrating Power and the slightly reddish Fire Lotus Sword in his hands; Ye Tianfan had lost sight of concepts like success or failure, and didn't care about them anymore!
All Ye Tianfan cared for now was to make those two energies merge; even if they cannot fuse completely, they must mingle, forming a state where each is part of the other. Otherwise, Ye Tianfan cannot truly harm this snake-like outsider, nor any external beings!
Though the Chaos Treasure Lotus could be used to harm outside beings, the cost was exorbitant—requiring an immense amount of Spiritual Power. If it only required Spiritual Power, it wouldn't be so bad; Ye Tianfan could still bear it. However, the vast amounts needed, demanded instant depletion, rendering it impossible for Ye Tianfan!
After all, even with ample Spiritual Power restorative pills, they take time to turn into Spiritual Power, not even fully digesting one before the Chaos Treasure Lotus has absorbed all the needed Spiritual Power!
This renders Ye Tianfan's Chaos Treasure Lotus unusable unless he collects Spiritual Power in advance!
Then, regarding the turbulent energies generated by the white Vibrating Power and the slightly reddish Fire Lotus Sword in his hands, Ye Tianfan knew, as long as he pressed firmly downwards, the outcome would reveal itself—success or failure he would know. With that in mind, Ye Tianfan resolved to firmly press his left hand against the Fire Lotus Sword held by his right hand.
As Ye Tianfan pressed firmly downward, suddenly the world seemed to quiet down, even the raging sounds vanishing.
In that instant, a sudden flash of light reflected from Ye Tianfan's eyes, originating from his right hand, while his left hand was empty, leaving only freshly spilled blood!
At the successful fusion moment of the white Vibrating Power and slightly reddish Fire Lotus Sword, Ye Tianfan shuddered, gazing down at the faintly red Fire Lotus Sword in his right hand, somewhat dazed: "Did I succeed? Four Styles of Vibration? Such a poor name, maybe it should be called Four Styles of Rules, considering it added the Power of Rules. Adding vibration sounds rather undignified!"
As his voice faded, Ye Tianfan's face rapidly turned pale, the gleam in his eyes swiftly extinguished. Once again looking at the motionless Fire Lotus Sword in his hand—it seemed, as though the light emanating from his body earlier wasn't produced by it at all. Nonetheless, Ye Tianfan did not believe he failed, even Taichu Immortal was quite moved because whether it was Taichu Immortal or Ye Tianfan, they could sense a terrifyingly destructive force from the seemingly dull Fire Lotus Sword!
Ye Tianfan shook his head firmly, knowing he indeed succeeded, not failing. He could give this move a try and see its power, and conveniently, an experiment subject lay before him!
Holding the Fire Lotus Sword, Ye Tianfan fiercely slashed towards the distant snake-like wall outsider. This was Ye Tianfan's experiment subject!
The ripple, invisible even to Ye Tianfan, silently crossed the void, not stirring a whisper of wind. Yet this light gesture stirred black ripples in its path, silently disappearing later!
These black ripples, seen by human eyes after the space was torn apart, were the space rifts!
And this invisible ripple, after slashing toward the snake-like wall outsider, reached it in an instant and then...
An earth-shattering explosion sounded from where the snake-like wall outsider was...
