While she was taking the elevator upstairs, Jerry Garcia came out of the meeting room and headed toward the CEO’s office.
CEO Kingston’s meeting wouldn’t end anytime soon, he had to represent CEO Kingston to sign the contract with Angel.
Ding, the elevator arrived at the designated floor, and the doors opened.
Tess Tate ran all the way towards the direction of the meeting room!
She actually saw Abby Sawyer! How incredible is that? She must tell CEO Kingston!
"Don’t tell me you’re sorry!"
Justin Kingston’s raised voice came out of the meeting room, causing Tess Tate to stop in her tracks and quickly hide against the wall!
"These are the three words I hate the most!"
Tess Tate felt her chest tighten in fear, holding her breath as she pressed against the wall.
Would rashly approaching him now be courting danger?
"While you’re here saying sorry, am I supposed to forgive or not forgive?" Justin Kingston stood in the leader’s position, leaning slightly over the table, looking at everyone, his voice cold. "Can I firmly say it’s okay? If I don’t forgive, does it make me look heartless? Because everyone makes mistakes!"
"..." Tess Tate was quite anxious, should she approach or not?
She really wanted to know what was going on with this Abby Sawyer, as CEO Kingston’s words fell, inside was silent as a grave, and the meeting seemed far from over.
Tess Tate was just a small employee of the company; it was quite a feat for her to reach the office outside, normally she would be stopped by security.
Tess Tate had an internal struggle, recalling CEO Kingston’s words to her that day, to inform him immediately if there’s news about Abby Sawyer.
This was something he had personally said.
So, she could approach him now, right?
He had no reason to be angry with her, right?
So, she mustered up her courage and went to the door, immediately overwhelmed by the formidable atmosphere inside. A heavy low pressure was coming forth! Inside, the big men sat with their heads hanging low, not daring to make a sound.
"Reflect properly, write a profound report, and come out with a solution to minimize the loss!"
Justin Kingston’s thin lips parted slightly, his eyes gleaming coldly, as if to freeze these men!
Tess Tate was about to knock on the door when a middle-aged man pulled her away.
"Director Lopez?" Tess Tate snapped back to her senses, looking at him cautiously and surprisingly, lowering her voice to ask, "What are you doing here?"
The middle-aged man moved briskly, pulling her far from the meeting room, "You’re asking me? I’m asking you, what are you doing here? Is this a place you can casually visit? CEO Kingston is in a meeting, what are you up to? Looking to die?"
"No, no, I have something to ask him."
"What could you possibly need?"
"I really have something!"
"Then wait here if you have something!" The man released her, pointed at her forehead, a bit of iron-fisted disappointment, then kindly reminded, "Who would dare interrupt his meeting? There’s no first in history, I fear you’re sick of living!"
"..."
"You anger him, you’ll implicate me, understand?"
"I’m sorry, Director."
"What exactly do you need from CEO Kingston? What could you have that requires direct contact with the CEO?"
Tess Tate felt a bit cornered, she hung her head, silent.
Meanwhile, inside the CEO’s office, Jerry Garcia and Angel signed the contract face to face, with Abby Sawyer beside her, carefully checking the contract and finding no loopholes.
Of course, even if there were loopholes, Angel would choose to collaborate with The Kingston Group.
Jerry Garcia felt the girl beside Angel looked familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere before, but couldn’t recall at the moment.
After signing the contract, Angel took her and left the company.
And the anxious Tess Tate, after being intimidated by the Director, no longer had the courage to interrupt the meeting and seek CEO Kingston.
