The Lamborghini drove away from the hospital, the speed not fast.
Justin Kingston drove with one hand, while the other rested lightly on the open window, the gentle evening breeze flowing in.
His deep eyes looked ahead, in contemplation, recalling what Joanna Sawyer had just said.
That girl forgetting the painful memories of the past was like being reborn.
But what about Anton Ford?
He still hasn’t moved on, torturing himself for ten years in an extremely unhealthy way.
Are those who lose their memories lucky, or are those with memories luckier?
Justin originally planned to drive back to Emerald Cove, but a certain thought quietly emerged in his mind.
He picked up his phone to call Anton Miller, dialed three times but no one answered.
He put down the phone and drove the car to Anton’s place.
When Justin arrived, he saw Anton’s car in the yard, clearly he was home.
He got out of the car and stepped toward the living room.
Just as he pushed open the door, a strong smell of alcohol hit him in the face, instinctively he reached out to block it, frowning.
Simply overpowering!
Justin’s gaze immediately landed on Anton Miller, slumped on the sofa, and he started moving towards him, seeing several toppled bottles on the coffee table.
All the doors and windows were tightly shut; he went to open the window first.
“Anton Miller.” He stopped in front of the coffee table, his eyes lowered to look at the man motionless on the sofa.
Called out once, no response.
Justin stepped closer, bending down to nudge him, “Anton.”
“Abby…” Anton Miller mumbled this name indistinctly, clearly too drunk to be conscious, “Abby, don’t leave…”
Yet Justin heard those two words very clearly…
This girl was clearly a deep ache in Anton’s heart!
Justin didn’t immediately attend to him, but instead walked to the pantry.
While making him some hangover tea, he called Mia Lane, “Mia, I might be home late tonight, I’m here with Anton and he’s completely out of it.”
“Okay.” Mia didn’t ask further.
Justin said, “I’m brewing hangover tea now, don’t wait for me to have dinner.”
“Alright.”
Ending the call, Mia took hangover medicine and drove over.
Although she was pregnant, her health was still quite good.
Moreover, she’s a skilled driver and Emerald Cove isn’t too far from Anton’s home, she informed Butler Shelby before she left.
Justin brewed some hangover tea, just helped Anton Miller sit up and fed him a bit, when Mia came in through the door.
Even with the window open for ventilation, she could still smell the lingering alcohol in the air, how much had he drunk?
Justin was quite surprised, “Why did you come?”
“I came to bring hangover medicine, it has no side effects and works well.” She poured a cup of warm water, and together with Justin helped Anton take the medicine.
“Why did he drink like this?” Looking at the toppled bottles on the coffee table, “Isn’t tomorrow the film’s start ceremony? He’s really messing himself up.”
“He said he’d only act in the script and skip any ceremony.” Justin said helplessly, forcing him to act in this film, Anton was unwilling every minute.
Regarding this matter, Mia didn’t say much, “Let’s get him to lie down, he’ll sober up in ten minutes; if he really doesn’t want to act, don’t force him.”
“Once I might have considered not forcing him, but not now.” Justin said with certainty, “Now, even if I told him not to, he would definitely go.”
Justin did as told, helping him lie down, although Mia didn’t quite understand his meaning.
“Abby… I’m sorry…” Anton Miller said with eyes closed, still vaguely murmuring this name buried deep in memory, “Abby, I’ll change, please don’t leave me…”
