After materializing the Blade of Rebellion, Roy gave it a casual flourish and looked calmly toward the ten o’clock position.
A few seconds later, a massive humanoid figure nearly five meters tall appeared in his and the two sisters’ line of sight.
Upon getting a clear look at the massive humanoid figure, Selena and Monica’s expressions immediately turned to disbelief.
An Armored Giant Ape!
‘How is this possible?’
‘That’s an Extraordinary Creature native to the Western Continent. How could it be here?’
It was no wonder they looked so incredulous.
Roy also furrowed his brow slightly upon recognizing the Armored Giant Ape.
However, he wasn’t surprised because an Armored Giant Ape, which should only be on the Western Continent, had appeared here. Rather, it was because he realized this Armored Giant Ape didn’t look wild at all. It looked like it had been raised in captivity.
Never mind that the Armored Giant Ape was an Extraordinary Creature.
Even among regular beasts, there was a huge difference between wild and captive-bred animals.
Though he didn’t know what was going on, Roy didn’t waste time overthinking it. Gripping the Fighting Qi: Blade of Rebellion he had just materialized, he advanced toward the Armored Giant Ape.
Compared to the Fighting Qi·Destruction Sword, the Fighting Qi: Blade of Rebellion he now held looked no different from the original.
The original Blade of Rebellion was silver-white, and his Fighting Qi also happened to be the same color.
Roy had not gone far before the supposedly captive-bred Armored Giant Ape began to pound its chest forcefully, like a gorilla displaying its might.
At the same time, it let out a deafening roar.
The Armored Giant Ape’s roar already had some of the momentum of a sound wave attack.
Although it had no effect on Roy, it made Selena and Monica instinctively cover their ears.
Roy initially thought about using the Dragon’s Battle Roar to show the Armored Giant Ape what a true sound wave attack was.
But after a moment’s consideration, he dismissed the idea.
The devastatingly powerful Sound Wave Secret Technique had, to some extent, become the Dark Night Knight’s trademark.
Although Selena and Monica had never seen the Dark Night Knight with their own eyes, they had very likely heard his name.
Ordinary people might not pay much attention to the wars in neighboring kingdoms.
But coming from the Silver Clan, they were bound to pay at least some attention.
The Armored Giant Ape’s roar lasted only a brief two or three seconds before it stopped.
It stopped because it discovered that its roar hadn’t intimidated Roy at all; on the contrary, it had only made him quicken his pace.
If Roy’s speed was like a leisurely stroll at first,
then after the Armored Giant Ape roared, it increased to match that of a warhorse at a full gallop.
By the time the Armored Giant Ape stopped roaring, he was moving so fast he was almost leaving an afterimage, arriving before the creature in the blink of an eye.
Compared to the nearly five-meter-tall Armored Giant Ape, Roy’s frame was positively tiny.
Although he was dwarfed by the Armored Giant Ape, he quickly proved that size has nothing to do with strength.
Upon reaching the Armored Giant Ape, he swung the Fighting Qi: Blade of Rebellion in his hand without the slightest hesitation.

Before the Armored Giant Ape could react, he had easily severed its right arm, which was thicker than Roy’s own waist.
As its name suggested, the Armored Giant Ape was an Extraordinary Creature known for its outstanding Defense Power.
However, in the face of the silver-white Fighting Qi: Blade of Rebellion, its formidable body, its pride and joy, was little more than a cream cake.
The severed right arm plummeted to the ground, and blood gushed from the stump like a high-pressure fire hose.
As the Fighting Qi: Blade of Rebellion sliced through the Armored Giant Ape’s right arm, Roy unleashed his silver-white Protective Fighting Qi, shielding himself completely from every angle.
The Protective Fighting Qi, burning fiercely like a flame, blocked the descending rain of blood, sparing him from being drenched head to toe.
Neither the Armored Giant Ape itself, nor Selena and Monica, could have possibly imagined Roy’s attack would be so utterly devastating.
As they were native to the Western Continent, Armored Giant Apes were not very famous in the Eastern Continent—certainly not as much as other Extraordinary Creatures like the Earth Dragon, Three-headed Dog, Griffin, or Sea Dragon Beast.
But the Armored Giant Ape’s strength was in no way inferior to that of other Extraordinary Creatures like the Earth Dragon and the Three-headed Dog.
Once it reached adulthood, an Armored Giant Ape possessed power on par with a Bronze Great Knight.
Upon entering its Mature Stage, an Armored Giant Ape’s power would increase even further, reaching a level sufficient to contend with a Silver Great Knight.
The most exceptional individuals or mutated variants, much like a tiny fraction of Earth Dragons and Three-headed Dogs, could even grow to a point where they could rival a Golden Great Knight.
However, the odds of this were very low—perhaps not even one in a hundred.
Perhaps because they were born as apex predators, the reproductive capabilities of Extraordinary Creatures like the Armored Giant Ape, Earth Dragon, Three-headed Dog, Griffin, and Sea Dragon Beast were not particularly high.
While not so low as to risk extinction, for one of these Extraordinary Creatures to have two or three offspring in its long lifetime was enough to be considered exceptionally prolific for its species.
And it was a good thing that the reproductive capabilities of these Extraordinary Creatures were not strong.
