Chapter 2264: Chapter 2261: Fatty in Trouble
"Lin Tian, they’re all looking at you," Xiao Manxuan whispered.
Lin Tian turned his head and found Ghost, Fatty, and the others were looking at him, waiting for him to decide. Though they agreed with Shen Lin, they wouldn’t follow him.
This is why Yan Bei no longer mentioned the team matter; the competition and confrontation were too apparent to reconcile.
"Why look at me? Just do as he says," Lin Tian said indifferently.
The two strongest in the group rarely agreed, and the rest were relieved. If arguments broke out, even escalating to a fight, they would also be caught in the crossfire.
Shen Lin dashed out first, moving fast, followed by Ji Zimo and the others. However, no matter how they sped up or used Qinggong, they couldn’t catch up with Shen Lin—this was the difference.
A white shadow leapt out, Bai carrying two young beauties, overtook Ji Zimo, then Shen Lin, easily surpassing them. Everyone finally witnessed Bai’s speed, swift as the wind.
"Miss, I’ll take you," Lin Tian suddenly grabbed Miss’s slim waist and sped forward.
She was about to protest, but feeling Lin Tian’s speed, she closed her mouth immediately; such speed would fill her mouth with wind.
Lin Tian first surpassed Fatty, then Ji Zimo, and Ji Zimo had no reaction. Lin Tian accelerated, quickly catching up with Shen Lin, then the Leopard, running side by side.
The group spread further apart as the distant black clouds drew closer, but ten miles was no challenge for Lin Tian. He was the first to reach the foot of the mountain, followed by Bai.
After letting Miss down, the female CEO’s face was red as she looked at Lin Tian both angrily and alluringly, as if blaming Lin Tian’s hand for mischief on her waist.
Lin Tian felt innocent; he just found the sensation pleasant, soft, touched a little more.
"Brother Lin Tian, there’s a cave over there; we can take shelter for a while," Yan Lingling broke the awkwardness by pointing at a rock a hundred meters away. At that moment, small snowflakes began to fall from the sky.
After a few reached it, Shen Lin arrived, followed by Ji Zimo, Ling Shuiyao, Yuwen Xingjian, who came one after another, while the snow intensified, and the wind began to roar.
The wind-blown snow mixed with tiny ice chunks, hitting faces and bodies like slingshot pellets. If not for their Ancient Martial backgrounds, they would have been beaten down by this icy rain.
More seriously, the storm kept intensifying, the ice grains brushing against the cave’s rock walls, crackling like machine gunfire outside the cave.
"Where’s Fatty..." Lin Tian counted heads and found Fatty was missing.
"I just saw him behind me," Liu Xiaoxiao said, puzzled.
"Fatty seems to be directionally challenged. I’ve heard reports of him getting lost multiple times in Langya Pavilion, almost wandering into restricted areas, making us suspect he had ulterior motives," Ling Shuiyao recalled, hastily warning.
"A guy who can’t navigate dared to come, he really has a death wish," Situ Yufeng chuckled, speaking sarcastically.
However, he wasn’t entirely wrong. At that moment, with the blizzard and black clouds overhead, visibility was so poor it was easy to get lost, a directionally challenged person would likely lose their way.
If they fell into an icy pit and got buried, they wouldn’t even know how they died.
Ji Zimo, Shen Lin, naturally wouldn’t risk rescue, they hoped for a few competitor casualties.
"Ling’er, look after my friends," Lin Tian said before rushing out of the cave without looking back.
Miss reached out to pull him back but didn’t follow through, a worried expression on her face.
"Brother Lin Tian’s friends are my friends too. If anyone tries something funny, I’ll have Bai bite them," Yan Lingling declared boldly.
The little girl’s words lacked threatening power due to her sweet voice, but Bai was different. Cooperating with its master, it let out a low growl, its eyes shining fiercely in the dark cave, daring no one to confront it.
Lin Tian had entered the storm by then, clearly feeling nature’s power, the wind carrying icy particles like countless blades, even flying knives.
In the grand scheme, humans were insignificant.
Lin Tian activated his super vision, scanning urgently for Huang Xiaopang. With such visibility, even his eyes couldn’t see far; only super vision was useful.
"Fatty..." Lin Tian shouted, his sonic wave penetrating the blizzard, booming out.
The sound reached the cave, reactions varied among the group. Miss, Xiao Manxuan, and the beauties were relieved knowing Lin Tian was okay, while Ji Zimo and Situ Yufeng felt unease; Lin Tian’s voice penetrated the blizzard’s intensity, impressively potent.
Every few hundred meters, Lin Tian would shout, Fatty should theoretically be close since the storm began after he left. But Lin Tian worried he’d veer off-course, so he ran with the wind’s direction.
People lost in storms often follow the wind instinctively as it’s less strenuous.
Sure enough, a kilometer off route, Lin Tian found Fatty, fallen into a ravine, unconscious—likely from a misstep.
Fatty’s bulk is the only reason snow hadn’t buried him yet.
Lin Tian scanned roughly, the icy ravine was at least ten meters deep, four or five stories, an Ancient Martial Artist falling unprepared would struggle.
Without hesitation, Lin Tian jumped down, pulled Fatty from the snow bank. Fortunately, his breath remained. Carrying Fatty, Lin Tian leapt out of the ravine in a few bounds.
Back in the cave, as Lin Tian’s shouting ceased, the Xiao sisters and others worried. Situ Yufeng appeared gleeful but dared not comment as the Snow Leopard stared at him.
Suddenly, a gust carrying snow blew into the cave, Lin Tian appeared like a deity, holding a big Fatty.
"Lin Tian..." Xiao Manxuan hurried to grab Lin Tian’s arm, while Miss remained reserved but couldn’t hide her smile.
"I’m fine," Lin Tian said casually, releasing Fatty.
"Is Fatty okay?" Ghost checked, seeing a bruise on Fatty’s head, ice holding it.
"Fatty’s tough-skinned; he won’t die," Lin Tian gestured, a purple flame emerged, melting and drying Fatty’s icy coating.
The rescue was natural, but others stepped back collectively, even Shen Lin, feeling the purple flame’s ominous aura.
"Hot, hot..." Fatty abruptly sprang up, patting himself, thinking he was on fire, then noticed everyone staring at him.
Huang Xiaopang felt embarrassed, scratching his head, "I... I got lost..."
"Wait for the storm to lessen to return, stop burdening us," Shen Lin said coldly.
