Chapter 181: Chapter 133: Just now, my classmate and I were attacked by the Austin family...
Shu Yao leaped down. Before the man could get up, she pulled a baseball bat from her storage space. Each swing met flesh, beating him so thoroughly he had no chance to retaliate.
Unable to withstand the assault, a pair of black, palm-sized, protruding dog-like ears appeared on his head, quickly followed by the Beastification features of a pointed snout and a black nose.
He had hyena blood!
His ears drooped in fear. This panicked, pathetic state was a far cry from his imposing presence in the cockpit.
He dodged and wailed, begging for mercy:
"Don’t hit me... Don’t hit me! Please, stop! I won’t do it again! I swear I’ll never do it again!"
"You mutt!"
’Literally a mutt!’
The man wailed, "Please, stop hitting me!"
Shu Yao brought the bat down hard on him one more time.
"Did Lin Zhenxiang send you?"
The man nodded frantically, adding through his tears, "And Edgar!"
Based on Lin Zhenxiang and Edgar’s description, he’d thought Shu Yao was just some delicate flower relying on her family’s status. He never imagined this woman would be so savage!
He regretted it so much now! ’How could my judgment have been so clouded? I was completely and utterly wrong about this woman.’
"You can get lost now," Shu Yao said dismissively.
The man acted as if he’d been granted amnesty, scrambling and crawling to his Mecha. When he discovered it had lost all basic functions, he panicked, transformed completely into a four-legged beast, and fled for his life.
Shu Yao put away her baseball bat, her head starting to ache as she looked back and forth between the crashed Flying Machine and the wrecked Mecha.
Ke Dancheng ran over. "Sister Yao, what do we do now?"
Shu Yao frowned in thought for a moment, then said calmly, "Start a livestream. Say you and a classmate are being targeted for revenge by the Austin family."
Ke Dancheng understood.
Shu Yao wanted to blow the situation up and trap the Austin family in a quagmire of public opinion from which they couldn’t escape.
It was payback.
Ke Dancheng immediately opened his Light Brain and started a broadcast under the name Chief Dan, explaining the situation while showing the disastrous scene to the fans flooding into his livestream.
"Just a moment ago, my classmate and I were attacked by the Austin family..."
Barely two minutes had passed. For the fans who were still trying to understand what was happening, the screen suddenly went blank. When they tried to rejoin the livestream, they found it was no longer accessible.
Ke Dancheng stared at the notification on his Light Brain, silent for a moment.
"...Sister Yao, I’ve been banned." A second later, he made another startling discovery. "Sister Yao, I think... the signal to our Light Brains is being blocked!"
This series of moves was almost certainly the work of the Austin family.
Just great. With their Light Brain signals blocked, even their means of calling for help had been cut off.
Shu Yao’s expression was grim. "You should go."
Ke Dancheng froze.
He followed Shu Yao’s gaze toward the wrecked Mecha.
Shu Yao said, "I imagine someone from the Austin family will be here soon to collect this pile of garbage."
Ke Dancheng fell silent.
He also believed the Austin family would do everything in their power to suppress the news of what happened today.
"You should go. You should never have been dragged into this," Shu Yao said, a hint of frustration in her voice.
"Sister Yao, the thing is..." Ke Dancheng opened his mouth, then closed it, disgusted with his own indecisiveness. Steeling himself, he said in a grave voice, "Sister Yao, I’m not leaving!"
"Then find a place to hide," Shu Yao said, tossing him something.
Ke Dancheng scrambled to catch it.
He’d thought Sister Yao had given him a self-defense weapon at least as lethal as the baseball bat. But when he looked closely at the object cradled in his arms, he realized it was an ancient recording device, something that had been phased out by the Interstellar Federation long ago.
A DV camera with built-in storage.
Compared to modern storage capacities, its 128GB of memory was laughably small.
But he understood Shu Yao’s intention.
Ke Dancheng activated the DV’s camera and began filming the Flying Machine and the Mecha up close, making sure not to miss a single detail.
A few minutes later, he took the DV and found a concealed spot to hide in.
He hadn’t even had time to fully conceal himself when he saw two Flying Machines slowly descend.
Antoine appeared, leading the Austin family’s Private Guard Team.
The members of the Private Guard Team were dressed like Star Warriors, clad in protective gear and holding laser guns.
Antoine’s hair whipped in the wind. He glanced at the crashed Flying Machine behind Shu Yao, a mocking smile touching his deep brown eyes.
"Tough to kill."
Shu Yao gave a wild, cold laugh. "You’ll soon find out the price for those three words you just uttered!"
Antoine looked surprised. "A filthy bug that crawled its way up from the Lower Star District has quite the mouth on it. I’ll just assume you’re a newborn calf that doesn’t fear the tiger and won’t hold it against you."
Shu Yao sneered, "Are your eyes so bad you can’t tell one species from another? Or have you just forgotten what you are, you brain-dead... son... of... a... bitch!"
