Chapter 1812 - Chapter 1812 - 1064: Attack!

Onora felt like she was watching—no, more like forced to sit through—a not-very-funny mime performance.

Just watching the lot down there move around was enough to make her wonder what the hell these people were doing. Had they noticed she was watching them, so they deliberately staged this whole show to relax her vigilance?

No. Judging from what was happening right in front of her, they simply didn’t have that kind of IQ.

Onora covered her face, wanting to speak but stopping, stopping but wanting to speak, wanting to speak yet stopping again, and in the end nothing came out of her mouth.

The bad news was, watching this whole grand performance had already had a negative impact on her mental state. She’d better file this as occupational injury.

The good news was, at least she’d learned some intel from this mime that she’d never known before.

So this counted as getting compensation for her work injury in a way she’d never even imagined?

Onora adjusted her mood a little, and her expression instantly turned terrifying, her eyes filled to the brim with killing intent.

Her dream of hogging the Sain Dungeon all to herself had, without a doubt, gone up in smoke.

The Mad Fire God Sect, the Abyss Legion, and the Demon Rebel Army—those three showing up inside the Great Safety Zone meant that Sain Dungeon had opened at least three more Teleportation Gates somewhere outside.

Dammit, you two-timing bastard!

But how had it even pulled that off? Weren’t the placement options for the Dungeon’s Teleportation Gates supposed to be limited? She’d learned that from the memories of other Demon Clan souls who’d once served as City Lords.

Forget it, agonizing over this was completely pointless. This was Sain Dungeon, after all—no miracle was too strange for it.

"I need to find a way to kill them."

And not just kill the demons from the other factions currently inside Sain Dungeon—she also had to wipe out the armies those factions had gathered around Sain Dungeon on the outside!

Onora immediately split off a lump of flesh and was about to send it out to call Chrono to bring some people over, so they could lie in ambush inside the Great Safety Zone and catch the enemy in one big sweep.

But before she sent out that flesh, she paused again.

These guys... really haven’t noticed there are other factions’ people inside the Dungeon?

What she’d just witnessed was simply too absurd. What kind of genius came up with this setup, where three different factions’ people keep going back and forth through the same place and yet somehow still haven’t realized it? This balance was ridiculously fragile; it could be broken at any moment.

Unless all three factions were led by brain-damaged Divine Men—but clearly, Ulysses and Jula were not.

Even taking the most generous step back, even if they truly hadn’t found any trace of other people in the Great Safety Zone, they should at least have noticed their own faces blowing up in the sky along with the Fireworks, right?

So why were they still acting like absolutely nothing had happened?

Don’t know about the others, but she did know Jula. He was one of the rebel army’s generals—his status within the rebel army wasn’t as central and crucial as Onora’s in the Demon King Army, but he was still one of the leaders.

There was no way his brain could see his own face in the sky and think that was normal.

What kind of Dungeon would be bored enough to launch someone’s giant mugshot into the stratosphere for fun?

And yet everything around really was calm and peaceful.

"..."

To be safe, she’d better go take a stroll herself.

Onora carefully searched through the entire Great Safety Zone and the surrounding area, inch by inch. She found no sign of any ambush, no traps or anything like that. This place really was just a plain, honest safety zone.

During that time, those two Mad Fire Cultists even came back once, and they didn’t act strange at all.

Weird. Had she overestimated them?

In the end, Onora informed Kernolin to pick twenty elite warriors to enter the Dungeon. But only a bit over ten demons ended up coming here, because those guys had already entered Sain Dungeon to explore before she arrived, so they could appear directly inside the Safety Zone.

She arranged for the Demon Clan Soldiers to hide inside the houses, planning to pull a "wait by the tree for the rabbit" kind of ambush.

Newcomers could pop out of the Teleportation Gate at any time, but right now Onora only wanted to take Jula out. As long as she killed him, his army would be thrown into chaos for a while, and then she could fish in troubled waters and finish them off!

Half an hour later, aside from the Mad Fire Cultists hauling in more timber, no new faces came out of the Teleportation Gate.

Instead, the footsteps of seven or eight people sounded from behind. Their pace scattered the Ash on the ground, kicking up a messy noise.

This time Onora finally caught the scent of demons. She was lying on the roof in camouflage, and as she turned her head, sure enough, she saw Jula returning with his men.

They looked travel-worn, like they’d just gone through several brutal battles. A hint of weakness showed in their expressions and the lines between their brows.

This was the perfect chance to strike.

Once you’d touched the bonfire, even if you died you’d be reborn beside it. If you died too many times, Sain Dungeon would kick you out. In other words, once someone inside the Dungeon had touched the bonfire, there was no way to kill them completely here.

But that only meant their body couldn’t be killed—not a word had been said about their Spirit.

She’d use the Abyss to destroy his Spirit, turn him into a drooling husk who’d spend the rest of his life going "aba aba"!
