Chapter 1892 - Chapter 1892: There’s Also a Childhood Friend

"Jerry, you’re here so early?" The girl was surprised to see him and propped herself up to sit.

"Let me help you." Jerry took a few steps forward, hurriedly put down the breakfast, and reached out to press a button. The front part of the bed started to fold up so she didn’t have to exert herself, and her upper body was already upright.

"Thank you." Joanna gave him a warm smile, feeling a bit embarrassed, "Mainly, my parents are running three flower shops, they’re really busy, and it’s not worth troubling them for such a small injury."

"It’s perfectly normal to be in the hospital alone, nothing to be embarrassed about." Jerry comforted her with a little white lie, "I’ve been hospitalized alone myself once."

He handed her the breakfast, his voice gentle, "Eat it while it’s hot, I’ll bring you lunch."

"I’ve troubled you too much these days, I can just order takeout."

But he said, "A girl who doesn’t even eat canned food with preservatives, how could she eat takeout? You’ve kept yourself quite well, haven’t you?"

The girl smiled tenderly, "Not really, you really don’t need to come by at noon, I know you’re busy. My close friend knows about my situation and is on his way here, probably staying with me for a few days."

"Close friend?" Jerry had just spoken when the door of the hospital room burst open.

"Joanna, are you alright?!"

Henry, upon seeing the two people in the room, was out of breath and paused for a moment!

Instead of immediately checking on the girl’s injuries, his attention went to the unfamiliar man by the bed, and he asked, "Who are you?"

Jerry met his gaze, clearly misunderstood.

At this moment, Joanna quickly spoke up, "He’s the personal assistant to our boss, who just brought me breakfast."

Representing the boss’s regards? That was acceptable.

"Oh, thank you!" Henry immediately smiled and extended his hand amicably towards Jerry, "Hello, hello, I’m Henry Chase, Joanna’s childhood friend!"

Jerry could easily see that this young man liked the girl.

He slightly lifted the corners of his mouth and politely extended his hand, "Hello."

Then Jerry looked at the girl leaning at the head of the bed, "I’ll get going now, or I’ll be late for the company’s morning meeting."

"Okay, thank you, Jerry."

"You’re welcome."

Jerry turned to leave, and somehow, he felt a small sense of loss because of this young man’s presence.

But they seemed to be of the same age, and their relationship looked quite good.

These few days he came to see her, she insisted on drawing with her tablet. She said she truly loved it. They talked about passion and ideals, and Jerry was a bit impressed by this spirit.

The Kingston Group.

Someone walked into the CEO’s office and reported, "CEO Kingston, Miss Morgan’s novel has been adapted into a script, please have a look."

"So soon?" Justin was a bit surprised, reaching out to take the thick book.

"Everyone worked overnight to finish it, knowing this project is urgent."

It was urgent because Justin wanted to keep Anton Miller busy, not giving him any free time at all.

"Alright, I will read the script, you all worked hard." Justin looked up at the project leader, "Prepare to start the casting for the female lead."

"The female protagonist’s character is quite vibrant, a typical sunflower girl. Looking within the industry, there’s no actress who fits completely, so we think an open audition from a pool of newcomers might be better." The leader smiled modestly and added, "Of course, that’s just a suggestion."

"Since the show’s success depends on the audience, allowing the audience to vote online to choose the female lead, I think it’s feasible." That was also Justin’s intention.
