Ding!
[Due to your Divine Authority and Divinities, you’ve partially mutated and evolved your Familiar: [Evil Goddess of Spiders and Monsters – Lolth] into the [Spider Mother Goddess of Protection and Love – Lolth]!]
[Lolth’s Abilities have transformed, but her previous Divinity cannot be completely overwritten. However, most of the {Evil God’s Madness} consuming her Divinity has been "tamed" and her Mind has reached a greater state of balance.]
[Your Familiar, Lolth, can now freely switch or combine the two sides of her Divinity, from the Evil Goddess of Spiders and Monsters to the Kind Spider Mother Goddess of Protection and Love.]
[One Divinity specializes in destruction, curses, and mutation, the other on healing, protection, love, and companionship.]
I carefully read the new notification that had appeared and considered what it truly meant for Lolth’s new "identity" and all the changes that had come with it.
"...I believe I evolved into this new form because of your own shared divine powers," Lolth said in a calm voice. "That cure you created for my own curse... I can produce it now as well. Alongside constructs of pure light. And this white silk. It possesses strong divine properties. You can take as much of it as you want."
I nodded slowly. "Okay then. I was secretly hoping to see you suffering all the time though. This is a little boring..."
"Sylphy, isn’t this better anyway?" Aquarina sighed. "Don’t try to make things worse on purpose..."
"Right," I nodded in agreement. "This entire Dungeon... it has changed a lot. What exactly is this place now?"
"I would say it’s become something like a Divine Land," she answered. "The Dungeon has fully become your property and then fused into the world itself. It’s no longer a separate pocket of the world, and the surrounding lands can now benefit from it, growing stronger and healthier over time."
"!!!"
"You mean...?" my mother asked with rising hope. "Is it possible to turn these dungeons that constantly produce Monsters and miasma... into something that can actually help and heal the planet?"
"Yes," Lolth nodded firmly. "This is the unique power that Sylphy has created... And—"
Suddenly her appearance changed for a brief moment. Her white skin turned a darker purple, and the color of her eyes reversed along with her hair, becoming blonde with purple strands instead.
Her golden exoskeleton shifted to a deep purple as well! Wait, what was going on?
"I cannot believe this is happening to me. Going from one form to another... do you think I am just your toy?" Lolth asked, suddenly sounding exactly like her old self. "This is the worst. And who was that calm one just now?! Is she really me— I share her memories and her feelings! This is wrong. You’ve divided me!"
Suddenly she shifted back to the previous calm form.
"Shuush," she said gently. "You’re interrupting me, sister."
She changed again. "What do you mean sister?! Wait... is this... we’re twins?"
She changed once more into the calm and composed Lolth. "Of course. Sylphy has allowed us to evolve. We’ve left behind most of the resentment we held. The madness no longer fully dictates us."
Then she switched back to the old Lolth once more. "I have not changed one bit, and I hold aaaaall the resentment actually."
Calm Lolth chuckled softly. "I would say that’s quite wrong. Even when you’re trying very hard... you’re still calmer than before."
Old Lolth roared in frustration. "I am not going to bend the knee!"
Calm Lolth teased her without mercy. "Oh, but my dear sister, you already have. You must accept this, our new shared form."
"NO!!!"
"You will do so."
"I won’t! And...! Ugh..."
"See? You feel like there’s little real drive left for pure anger, isn’t that right?"
"I hate this! I’ve grown so strong, I have obtained new powers I never thought possible, but I have to share my body with this insufferable bitch?"
"Language."
"Shut up."
"Make me."
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!!!"
"I will never shut up. I am your conscience given form, sister. Because deep down... you’ve always felt bad about what you’ve done."
"..."
Lolth finally sighed and returned to a unified form. One half of her hair was purple with golden-blonde strands, while the other half was blonde with purple strands. One half of her legs were purple, the other golden. Even her skin was divided — one side pure white, the other pale purple.
"I suppose this is fine, yes?"
"Ugh, whatever!"
It was a little confusing at first, but Lolth was no longer just one single personality. She had not permanently changed into the calm version.
The old Lolth was still present, existing as some kind of... split personality?!
This was absolutely batshit insane and somehow even better than I had imagined.
Especially because the old Lolth would now be endlessly teased by her new sister. Hahaha!
"Hey, I like that," I said with a grin. "Right?"
"It’s confusing, but this is clearly better," Zack nodded. "Make sure to tease your sister a lot."
"Will do," the Calm Lolth nodded. "You can call me... I am the reverse of her existence. I am Htlol."
"Works fine," my father said with a nod. "Alright then... I have a question, Htlol."
"Speak, young hero," she answered gracefully.
"I wanted... to know about Flamie’s corpse... the dragon that originally gave birth to this dungeon... do you know what happened to it?" he asked carefully.
"..."
Both spider sisters remained silent for a moment, as if quietly discussing the matter with each other through their shared mind.
Then they spoke together.
"I fused with that corpse. It was a giant dragon undead boss. I used it for sustenance, and more than that, I was beginning to forge a new Divinity of Undead with it. Thanks to that process I also gained the Divinity of Monsters. It was an incredible specimen."
"Y-You fused with it?!" my father screamed in pure disbelief. "Sylphy, did you... ever see any dragon parts on her body?"
