FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
Lucian disappeared again. The pressure generated from his movement struck Aurelia about a second later, whipping her hair back for a short second. The Vampire also sensed the ground beneath her tremble.
Lucian truly had no control over himself.
The Vampire closed her eyes.
She remained silent for several seconds, then—
“…idiot.”
She shook her head.
Once she was done, she turned around, the last bit of amusement and worry disappeared from her face and was replaced by something cold.
“Come out.”
…
Far away—
Lucian continued flying, if the word ‘flying’ could even be used for him.
His telekinesis always allowed him to move through the air, it was useful, flexible and fast.
And now?
It was ridiculous.
His new Demonic Energy was so dense that even a fraction of his previous output generated an absurd acceleration. Lucian tried to focus, he tried to reduce the energy, he kept his body aligned, controlled his breathing and eventually controlled himself.
His senses were overwhelmed, but even then, even his overwhelmed senses could pick up that huge amount of Energy of Suffering coming from ahead.
Neroth was ahead.
Lucian could see that, it was practically impossible to miss. His face turned solemn as he slowed down and prepared himself.
Even then, he moved fast. The distance between them vanished quickly. Lucian continued slowing down the closer he got.
Then—
He saw him.
Neroth.
Floating in the sky.
Their eyes met, Neroth screamed in slow motion, Lucian continued looking at him, then—
He moved past him.
FWOOOOOSH
For a moment, even Neroth turned silent. Then, he screamed even louder.
“DON’T THINK YOU CAN RUN AWAY!!”
The demon turned.
Lucian, on the other hand, blinked, the Archdemon was already far behind him.
“…fuck.”
He tried to use telekinesis to pull himself in the opposite direction and stop himself.
BOOOOOOOM
The very air around him exploded, but the technique worked.
Lucian stopped.
He hovered in the air for about a second, preparing himself. Then, he looked back at Neroth and his eyes shone with strong fighting spirit.
“Let’s do this.”
With that thought in his mind, he accelerated again.
FWOOOSH
He still had no control over himself, only this time, he didn’t need it. The moment he got close to Neroth, he used Telekinesis in the opposite direction. The air stuck between the two opposing forces exploded once again.
Lucian ignored that, all that mattered was that he stopped.
Then, he glanced at the being standing right in front of him.
“Sorry.”
He smiled as he landed on the ground. Hovering in the air didn’t seem ideal considering how bad his control currently was. At the very least, when his feet were on the ground, he would be able to maintain his balance.
“Still getting used to this.”
And Neroth—
“YOU!”
He screamed as the energy around him exploded.
“No greeting?”
Lucian tilted his head.
“I thought we bonded.”
Neroth didn’t.
More and more Energy of Suffering gathered around him, Lucian stared at the energy. Then, at Neroth himself, or more specifically, the body he had possessed.
His physical strength was that of a Redborn Vampire, maybe a little stronger than a normal Redborn Vampire and while that may have been a problem before—
At this point, Lucian couldn’t care less.
He highly doubted even an Elder Vampire was currently physically stronger than him.
What made Neroth more dangerous was the ridiculous amount of Energy around him.
The Energy of Suffering.
And considering where they were and how many Vampires were trapped and weakened inside, giving him the energy he needed…
It wouldn’t be wrong to say the Archdemon had an almost endless amount of energy right now. That was… troublesome.
Actually, Lucian himself couldn’t help but notice how interesting the situation was.
When he and Varek first fought each other, Varek was the one with more physical power, while Lucian had access to the endless energy that Evelyn gave him.
Now, it was the exact opposite.
Now he had the upper hand in pure physical might, while Varek, or whatever was left of him, had unlimited energy.
“Well.”
That made Lucian chuckle.
“Let’s see if round two favours you.”
Neroth glared at him when he said those words.
“This is not round two. This is the final round, where I end you.”
He spoke in a menacing tone.
Lucian stared at him with a flat look on his face and—
“I wasn’t even talking to you.”
He rolled his eyes.
Possession didn’t feel right, he was having a difficult time tracking who he was fighting.
“It doesn’t matter.”
Neroth didn’t care.
He had no intention of wasting the time he had chatting with him. The time for talks was gone.
“Soon, you won’t be able to talk to anyone.”
“Says the one who’s going to disappear in a few ho—”
Lucian shot back. The plan was to rile Neroth up and waste more time talking. He wanted to stall as much as he could considering he wasn’t exactly in an ideal spot to fight, he needed all the advantage he could get.
Just that before he could even try to provoke him, Neroth was already provoked.
BOOOOOOOOM
Before Lucian could even complete his words, the ground he was standing on suddenly exploded and Lucian’s body was caught in the very middle of the explosion that was strong enough to vaporise an Elder Vampire.
The battle began before it could even begin.
Neroth grinned.
And the very next second, when the dust cleared up, his grin disappeared.
Lucian, who was caught right in the middle of an explosion strong enough to kill an Elder Vampire, survived.
Both his legs were pulverised, there were bruises throughout his body and he was in no condition to move, he probably wasn’t even conscious, but still…
He survived.
And the very fact that he did surprised Neroth.
He shouldn’t have been able to survive.
Of course, the Archdemon didn’t think about it for long, in fact, when he finally processed the news, he grinned.
“You survived.
That is good.”
Then, his grin turned even more demonic.
“Now, I can take my time with you.”
He spoke as he slowly hovered towards him, knowing full well Lucian was in no state to resist.
Or at least…
That’s what he thought, but the very next second—
Lucian’s pulverised legs regenerated, his injuries disappeared and he—
FWOOOSHH
He moved away, creating distance between them.
“What the hell did you do?”
