His trump cards were powerful, but after breaking through to a major realm, his own strength had increased, which in turn greatly diminished their relative effect. With one aspect rising and the other falling, Li Yang’s overall power hadn’t seen a massive leap after his breakthrough to the World Realm.
However, the Early World Realm was just the beginning. In the short time to come, Li Yang planned to rapidly build up his power to the Peak of World Realm!
The journey from the Early World Realm to the Peak of World Realm was a matter of accumulating energy. Once he rapidly built his strength to the peak, his power would increase by another huge margin!
As these thoughts ran through his mind, Li Yang turned his attention to the World Tree.
’Is there any hope for a third divine avatar?’ he wondered with great anticipation.
Previously, every time he broke through a realm, the World Tree had been able to gestate an additional avatar. Now that he had broken through to the World Realm, it might just succeed again!
The more avatars he had, the more laws he could comprehend, and the faster his cultivation would progress. Naturally, he wanted to advance even faster!
He was currently comprehending the laws of the Fire Element, space, time, and lightning. Becoming one of the Four-Element Deities in the future shouldn’t be a problem.
If he could comprehend one more, he would become one of the Five Elemental Deities!
A Five Elemental Deity, combined with his numerous trump cards, could definitely become an invincible king among the Deities!
Li Yang wasn’t thinking about reaching the level of an Emperor just yet. For now, his goal was to be an invincible king among Deities!
As Li Yang watched in anticipation, the gestation space within his World Tree avatar began to slowly change.
Noticing this, a look of delight instantly appeared in Li Yang’s eyes.
’Just as I thought! It’s starting to change again!’
Just as he’d hoped, the World Tree was incredibly able to gestate another avatar!
At that moment, Li Yang couldn’t help but marvel even more at the terrifying power of the mysterious little sword!
The Cultivation Technique from within the sword alone was enough to make the World Tree constantly evolve, even to the point of continuously gestating new avatars!
If it gestated another one, he would have six avatars in total!
Throughout the entire Cosmos, the most avatars anyone possessed was three. If news that he had so many were to spread, it would absolutely rock the entire Cosmos!
After a moment of elation, Li Yang thought to himself, ’Time to cultivate the Soul Chapter of the Cultivation Technique from the sword. First, I’ll strengthen my soul, and then the World Tree can begin gestating the third divine avatar!’
Previously, Li Yang had obtained body fragments from several types of naturally born Deities in the Cosmos from the Human Race’s Eternal Saint Hall. He had placed these fragments directly with the World Tree when he returned to Earth, so he didn’t need to go back; the World Tree could begin the gestation process directly.
Of course, this gestation required a perfected soul. He would first need to practice the Cultivation Technique from the mysterious sword. Only after completing that could the avatar of a naturally born Deity be gestated.
...
While the World Tree began practicing the Cultivation Technique in preparation for gestating the third divine avatar, Li Yang turned his gaze to a Spirit Pool within the palace.
’Now, to absorb Spiritual Power and accumulate energy!’ The Spirit Pool was filled with energy he could absorb to continuously increase his strength!
The amount of energy one had to absorb to go from the Early World Realm to the Peak of World Realm was immense!
Many World Realm cultivators without the backing of a powerful faction remained stuck at the Early World Realm for their entire lives.
Those who relied on slowly absorbing energy on their own might not even reach the Mid-World Realm after a hundred thousand years—a testament to the sheer amount of energy required!
However, to the mighty Eternal Saint Hall of the Human Race, this vast amount of energy was nothing. As long as someone broke through to the World Realm, they could be boosted to the peak in a short period of time!
PLOP.
Li Yang jumped directly into the Spirit Pool, beginning his journey to greater power!
...
Time flowed on. Li Yang continuously absorbed Spiritual Power, and while he did so, he also relentlessly practiced the third form of his Destruction Spear Skill!
Of course, the third form of the Destruction Spear Skill was incomparably more difficult than the second. This time, the Eternal Saint Venerable had arranged for ten thousand virtual opponents for Li Yang!
He would only be considered to have mastered the third form once he had defeated all ten thousand of them!
Of these virtual opponents, it took Li Yang three months just to defeat the very first one!
Time flew by, and soon a year had passed.
In the Spirit Pool, Li Yang sat silently cross-legged as streams of Spiritual Power continuously surged into his body.
Then, at a certain point, he could no longer absorb the Spiritual Power. His body seemed to have reached a state of saturation.
’Peak of World Realm!’
Inside the Spirit Pool, Li Yang assessed his condition. He stood up, a smile touching his lips.
In just one year, by continuously absorbing energy, he had finally raised his strength to the Peak of World Realm!
’My current strength is still a little ways off from the Dual Pantheon,’ Li Yang thought. ’But the gap shouldn’t be too large. If I activate the Dragon Scale Insect and my Evil Qi domain, I can just barely reach the level of a Dual Pantheon.’
A single Dragon Scale Insect, when absorbed by a cultivator at the Peak of World Realm, could instantly multiply their strength several times over!
Throughout his year of cultivation, Li Yang had, of course, been constantly absorbing them!
He had over thirty Dragon Scale Insects in his possession, and Li Yang had discovered that he could absorb them at an unbelievably fast rate!
Dragon Scale Insects could provide an explosive boost in power and a massive increase in strength, but they were incredibly difficult to refine.
Dragon Scale Insects were unbelievably hard; even Deities couldn’t damage them. Refining one was purely a matter of luck.
Some people could refine them with relative ease, perhaps refining most of one in a few hundred years, while others could spend an eternity and not refine even a fraction of one.
As for the reason why, no one could say for certain.
Yet, while others couldn’t refine a single Dragon Scale Insect in hundreds of years, Li Yang had astonishingly refined ten in just one year!
By fully activating the power of the Dragon Scale Insects, his overall strength could, to his surprise, instantly multiply by two or three times!
With his strength now approaching that of the Dual Pantheon, the Dragon Scale Insects had clearly played a massive role.
"Li Yang, since you refine Dragon Scale Insects so easily, you can probably refine the Ancestral Dragon’s blood faster than others, too. Before you leave the Eternal Saint Hall of the Human Race, I suggest you claim your share of the Ancestral Dragon blood and try to refine it."
Soul Ink’s voice rang in Li Yang’s mind.
Dragon Scale Insects were formed from the Ancestral Dragon’s aura, and the effect of the Ancestral Dragon’s blood was like an explosively enhanced version of the insects’ power.
Dragon Scale Insects provided a huge boost to those in the World Realm, but their effect was much smaller for Deities.
As for the Ancestral Dragon’s blood, if refined properly, it could multiply the power of even someone at the Emperor Level tenfold!
This showed just how potent it was.
"I know," Li Yang nodded, a trace of anticipation in his eyes.
’The Dragon Scale Insects have such a huge effect on me; the Ancestral Dragon’s blood might be even more potent,’ Li Yang thought with great expectation.
As if reading Li Yang’s mind, Soul Ink tempered his excitement, "Don’t get your hopes up too high. Things like Dragon Scale Insects are difficult to refine, but it’s still possible with enough time. The Ancestral Dragon’s blood, however, is ten thousand times more difficult to refine. Countless Deities and Emperors have failed to refine even a single trace over endless eons."
The Ancestral Dragon’s blood could grant a huge power boost even to mighty Emperors, but that was only if it was completely and perfectly refined!
In reality, the difficulty of refining the Ancestral Dragon’s blood was simply too great. Most Emperors couldn’t refine even a single trace, meaning they didn’t even have the qualifications to begin with.
A small portion of them could refine it, but even after doing so, multiplying their strength by two or three times was basically the limit.
