Chapter 454: Chapter 454: Rapid Rescue (2)

Fiona Chapman was ecstatic. Whatever form the punishment took, she would love it!

"I used to think you were just spoiled, arrogant, and headstrong, but now I see you’re also completely vicious! I’m not going to apologize to you. I refuse to believe you’d dare attack me in front of all these people!" Nadia Chapman’s mind raced. ’How am I going to get out of this?’

"My uncle’s the manager here! This bar is practically my house. You think I won’t dare?" With that, Justin lunged forward and grabbed Nadia Chapman’s arm. In a panic, Nadia lifted her foot and stomped the stiletto heel of her shoe hard onto his instep!

"AHHH—" Justin shrieked, hopping on one foot and clutching his leg. Cold sweat beaded on his forehead from the pain! Nadia Chapman had already seized the chance to bolt!

"You fucking bitch! I’ll teach you a lesson!" Justin yelled, chasing after her despite the pain.

The sudden turn of events was unexpected. Fiona Chapman chased after them too—she wouldn’t miss any chance to see Nadia Chapman utterly humiliated.

Nadia Chapman ran as fast as she could, weaving through the crowd. But as she ran, her vision suddenly began to blur, and her legs felt weak. She knew she’d been drugged; it must have been Leo Fenton’s drink! In her panic, she pulled out her phone and opened her contacts. Everything was a double image, and it took all her effort to see clearly. Finally, she managed to press the call button.

But no one answered. Nadia Chapman leaned against the wall, keeping an eye on her pursuers as she stumbled forward. She prayed frantically, ’Pick up! Please, pick up! If you don’t, I might really not make it out of here tonight!’

Martin Quinn was working late, in the middle of a video conference with their overseas partners, when his phone suddenly vibrated. For a moment, every eye in the conference room was on him, but they all quickly looked away. Everyone knew how seriously their president took his work; he would never let a personal matter interrupt business. Surely, he would decline the call.

The project lead was ready to resume his presentation, but to everyone’s surprise, Martin Quinn glanced at the caller ID, answered the phone, and strode out of the conference room.

What was going on? The team members exchanged bewildered glances, wondering if the meeting was over for the day. Leo Warren was the first to react. "Everyone, take five!"

The instant the call connected, Nadia Chapman blurted out, "Seraphina, quick, come save me! I’m at Westbound!"

"Hello?" Martin Quinn frowned. He had only answered because he saw it was Nadia Chapman’s number; he wouldn’t have picked up for anyone else. ’But what did he just hear? She’s asking for help? And she called the wrong number!’

Hearing an unfamiliar voice on the other end, Nadia Chapman instantly realized she’d dialed the wrong number. She immediately ended the call and began searching for Seraphina Sterling’s number again.

"Leo Warren, tell everyone the General Manager is taking over the meeting. You’re coming with me to Westbound!" Martin Quinn made the decision without a moment’s hesitation. The raw panic in her voice had shaken him. ’What kind of trouble has Nadia gotten into?’

’Westbound? Why are we going to Westbound now? What is the boss planning? Is someone causing trouble there? But surely no one in Aethelgard is stupid enough to make a scene at Westbound.’

Martin Quinn and Leo Warren sped toward Westbound, while Nadia Chapman was still frantically trying to call for help.

Seraphina Sterling was enjoying a quiet night with Terrence Grant, savoring the delicious steak he had painstakingly cooked, when her phone suddenly rang.
