A unique ringtone grew clearer in the honeymoon suite. Terrence Grant was not pleased. He had gone to great lengths to plan a romantic date, and it was only halfway through. The best part of the evening was still to come! ’He didn’t want to be disturbed by anyone or anything!’ With a cold expression, he ordered in a low voice, "Don’t answer it."
"That’s not a good idea. It could be an emergency!" Although Seraphina Sterling didn’t want this wonderful atmosphere to be disturbed either, some things were more important than romance! After spotting Nadia’s name on the screen, Seraphina answered the call without a moment’s hesitation.
"What happened?"
"I’m at Westbound, and I’ve been set up! If you don’t get here soon, there won’t be anything left of me!" Nadia Chapman was panting, leaning against a wall. She couldn’t take another step! But hearing Seraphina Sterling’s voice seemed to ease her initial terror.
"Someone actually has a death wish, daring to cause trouble at Westbound. Find a place to hide and stay put. I’m on my way!" Seraphina Sterling immediately dropped her utensils, slung her bag over her shoulder, and headed for the door. "Sorry, you can clean up this mess yourself. I have an emergency!"
"Going to Westbound? You don’t need me to come with you?" Although he was unhappy, Terrence Grant could see the urgency in Seraphina Sterling’s expression. It looked like something serious had happened.
"Mr. Grant, you still haven’t passed my evaluation. Given that your status is far too special and your reputation far too great, any woman who sees you will throw herself at you. So, for the sake of my own personal safety, it’s best you don’t appear with me in a public place. I’d like to live a few more years! I can’t handle another powerful person like Miss Thompson coming to make trouble for me!"
Seraphina Sterling used Terrence Grant’s own words against him, leaving him speechless. He could only watch in resignation as she hurried out the door and left in a flash. A wry smile unconsciously touched his lips. ’It seems I’ll have to be more careful with my words around her from now on, or she’ll easily use them against me! Meanwhile, after alerting Seraphina Sterling, Nadia Chapman found a corner to wait in. She desperately wanted to hide, but her current condition wouldn’t allow it. Just a moment ago, she had still been clear-headed, but now, her mind was muddled. The blaring music only added to her confusion, and her body grew weaker and weaker. If not for the wall at her back, she might not even be able to stand.
Leo Fenton searched through the crowd for a long time before finally spotting Nadia Chapman standing behind a giant potted plant. He had carefully arranged everything; how could he let such a perfect opportunity slip away! As he drew near, he caught a unique, sweet scent. It wasn’t perfume, but an indescribable floral fragrance that sent a shiver through him. "Come with me. I’ll get you out of here."
"Let go! I don’t need your help!" Nadia Chapman could only vaguely make out Leo Fenton’s face. Though her body was weak, her refusal was firm.
"So many people are looking for you. If you don’t leave with me, they’ll find you soon! Justin is not someone you want to mess with! He always does what he says he’ll do. Do you really want to fall into his hands? His men will do anything! Do you really want every single one of them to have a go at you?"
