Chapter 113: Chapter 112: Rejected
During the afternoon as Caesar walked on the streets with both hands in her pockets, hsr mind raced back to her conversation with AJ earlier in the hospital.
"Stop giving them power they do not have. They are not some rich and powerful family that controls and influences everything in Neo-earth. They are just some randos that entered ero-wrestling for the same reasons as many." Caesar’s voice replayed in her heart.
After remembering words, Caesar sighed and brought her head low.
"Man, AJ really is a case." Caesar said in her mind, "Having to let him know the truth about those people was really something.
But still... Despite what I told him, having him stand up to his abusers, I can’t do the same to mine. I can’t swing at them or directly talk back unless I want something terrible to happen to my brothers and myself. Not to mention, the lives of my brothers are literally now in their hands.
Giving light to someone when I can’t do the same for myself.
The highest I can do is imagine swinging on a Mizukai."
Caesar sighed again and continued speaking in her mind.
"What a pain. To give someone an advice you can’t give yourself.
The only way I can fight back is by not giving that evil bitch Akari the satisfaction she craves and thriving in the company for a whole year so that Balland’s wealthy family friends can step in to set me free.
But even if they come, will it...?"
Caesar paused in her thoughts as she recalled herself sobbing at the beds of Rai and Eyo.
After the memory, Caesar halted and narrowed her eyes for a time.
Her body slightly shook as she tried to maintain her composure. After a while, she shook her head and spoke in her heart again.
"Anyway, It’s best I check the gyms to start tomorrow... Especially the ones willing to allow us with ero-activities."
Caesar brought out her phone from her pocket and stared at her screen.
However, Caesar recieved a notification from the flyer group chat which says "The fuck is wrong with EBW?"
Caesar walked towards a quiet spot on out of curiosity, she clicked the link and it sent her to B-cube.
As the video played, voices, grunts, screams and objects crashing resonated from it.
"Damn." Caesar said in her mind.
"You really... Talk too much." The woman’s voice sounded from the phone.
Caesar winced as she was caught off guard with what happened next on her screen, followed with the loud screen echoing from her phone.
"MY MOUTH! MY MOUTH!!!" Billy’s voice sounded.
Caesar stopped the video and stared at her screen with a distubed countenance.
"What the hell...?"
Immediately, Caesar went to the comments section and read the thoughts of the audience that had watched the video.
"What in the world is wrong with EBW?"
"Did she just mutilate him???"
"She’s kinda hot though"
"Holy god, she just tore his mouth!"
"Seriously, is everyone in EBW a psychopath?"
"He deserved it"
"AJ is cooked, I’m not gonna lie"
"She said she is after AJ"
"I think a lot of ero-wrestlers need mental evaluation because what the fuck is this?"
"If that’s who I think it is then AJ is fucked"
"She’s back"
"That’s one way to send a message"
"Any talent dumb enough to go after AJ this Wednesday after watching this video deserves what happens to him or her"
"That guy might have been a coward and a bully but he didn’t deserve this"
"She is crazy"
"I can fix her"
"Pray for AJ, man. We are about to witness an untimely death in the ring"
"Billy got what he deserved but seriously, what the hell is wrong with that woman?"
"There is something seriously wrong with the company and the ero-wrestlers themselves."
"A guy commented he can fix her... My brother in heaven, you can’t!"
"Man, that kid can’t catch a break"
"Billy the G.O.A.T was used as a scapegoat"
Caesar stared at the comments with a blank face before drifting her sight back to the video.
"Damn. That’s one way to declare yourself as an opponent." Caesar said in her mind, "Man, AJ, you ’really’ a predator magnet."
Suddenly Caesar’s phone started ringing and on her screen showed an unknown number.
Caesar gazed at it for a time before she answered and placed the phone on her ear.
"Hello?"
"Good afternoon, Caesar." The voice greeted through the phone.
Caesar’s eyes widened as she instantly recognized the voice.
"Balland-I mean sir? Good afternoon." Caesar said.
"Sorry for calling you with a different number, it’s just that my sim card is being worked on right now." Balland said, "By the way, congratulations on your win last week in that triple threat.
I didn’t believe you would do it but you did."
"Thank you. By the way, you said you went to see your grandchildren. How was your stay and how are they doing?" Caesar asked.
"My daughter’s babies look exactly like her." Balland answered heartily, "It warms my heart seeing her happy with her husband.
And I should let you know, more of the other families are growing interested in your case.
Work is resuming tomorrow, so come to the bakery and I’ll fill you in."
"Yes, sir." Caesar said.
Balland cut the call, bringing Caesar to stare at her screen before placing the phone back in her pocket.
However right before Caesar could walk away, she took notice of a flat screen on a wall that showed on it’s screen a burning house and a fair skinned man being placed inside a police car by two male beastfolk officers.
"Earlier today an issue just transpired in Yingrin street of Bellwa city where two men were said to be having problems with each other because of debt." A dark skinned female beastfolk reporter said, "According to witnesses, they claimed that the man in the car was owing the victim a debt of a thousand and five hundred yons and when it was demanded he should payback, he told the victim ’I’m at the Hot Mike barbershop. Come get your money in blood, cuh’."
"Street footage shows the victim known as Mykel White storming straight to the Hot Mike Barbershop." The reporter continued as the footage on the screen showed a fair skinned man with a black slick back hair dressed in a white suit walking towards the barbershop.
"Hot Mike? That’s the place I used to take Rai and Eyo to get their hairs cut." Caesar said to herself.
"As you can see, Mykel was about to enter the shop to collect his money from the debtor criminal until ’this’ happened" The reporter said.
At the moment Mykel opened the door, he was struck with a rocket to the gut that launched him all the way to a building and exploded.
"Mykel was killed with a rocket launcher by the man who owed him." The reporter continued speaking while Caesar stared at the screen with a blank face while her ears flattened, "All of this happened because he refused to pay back what he owed."
"Man, I know a thousand and five hundred yons is a lot of money but a rocket launcher?" Caesar asked in her mind as right brow twitched.
"Oh well." Caesar continued as she turned her back to walk away.
While Caesar was walking, it was unknown to her that a male figure watched her from afar.
The male figure wore a brown hooded coat and the upper part of his face was overshadowed by the veil of his coat.
His inner wear was a white top, and his trousers were black in color likewise his shoes.
As the man in the coat watched her leave, voices played in his head.
"You’re willing to train her but not me?!"
"No matter how much I tried I can never get your approval, is that it? Is it?!!"
"You don’t want me in this sport... You tried to sabotage me on several occasions... Tried to get me kicked out... Told the instructors things about me and refused to train me but yet you’d train her for free! What makes her so special?!"
"I’ll show you! I’ll show you! That beloved student of yours, I’ll ruin her! I’ll make you regret choosing her over me!
I’ll make you regret it!!!"
The man let out a dark grin underneath the hood and slowly discharged a menacing aura.
Caesar on the other hand as she was walking, her irises glowed as she halted due to her feeling an intense pressure.
However at the very moment she turned around to see where it came from, the beastfolk in the coat had already left.
Caesar stared at the empty space for some time before she narrowed her eyes and continued walking away.
Meanwhile the man in the hoodie was already walking in another street, chuckling and grinning while simultaneously emitting his aura, drawing the attention of the other civilians standing nearby.
