Chapter 273 - Chapter 274: Potential ally

However, these environments are extremely dangerous. Many people have died inside them because they’re part of the inheritance, and no one has ever managed to clear it completely."

Hearing Nyxara’s words, Nova began to ponder. Wouldn’t this be an excellent opportunity for him, Rieka, and Asia?

If Nova could find such an environment inside the Secret Realm, it would give his strength a tremendous boost. After all, it would be the perfect place for his innate skill, Infinite Adaptation Core, to work at its best.

Not to mention that Asia and Rieka would also benefit from such an opportunity, allowing them to improve their strength and gain new insights.

"Then this is going to be a great opportunity for us, but it’ll also be quite dangerous," Nova said thoughtfully.

"But, Husband, there’s one thing you should remember... It’s not guaranteed that you’ll be able to meet Sister Rieka and Sister Asia inside," Nyxara added.

"If your luck is bad, you might end up in a terrible place. As I explained last time, the Secret Realm is enormous and unpredictable."

"I understand, my wife. But there must be some way to find the people you’re looking for once you’re inside, right?" Nova asked curiously.

"No, Husband. As far as I know, there’s no direct method. It depends on your luck and how much of the realm you’re able to explore. You might eventually find the person you’re searching for, but there’s no guarantee."

Nyxara then turned toward Rieka and Asia.

"So, you two mustn’t attempt anything beyond your capabilities inside the Secret Realm. It’s an extremely mysterious place, and you can’t afford to underestimate its dangers."

Rieka and Asia understood what she meant. Neither of them was foolish enough to take unnecessary risks. Recklessly endangering their lives inside the Secret Realm would be a terrible decision.

"How so?" Nova asked.

Nyxara glanced toward Velena, who understood what she wanted to say and spoke up.

"Lord Nova, it’s believed that the Secret Realm was created by a being beyond our understanding. Some even believe that it might be an entirely separate world."

"That’s also why many people avoid attempting its challenges unless they possess the necessary skills. Inside the Secret Realm, everyone is restricted to the strength of the Grandmaster Realm. You must rely on your skills and unique abilities to survive, discover treasures, and participate in inheritances."

Nova understood Velena’s explanation. It seemed there were still many things that even the most powerful beings in this world didn’t understand.

{Nova, if I’m correct, you won’t be able to take your Deadborns inside either.}

Liya’s voice rang out, drawing everyone’s attention toward her.

"She’s right. If only fifty people can enter, with ten from each continent, bringing your Deadborns along might not be possible, Husband," Asia said.

"But aren’t they undead? Would the Secret Realm still prevent them from entering? Aren’t they essentially an extension of Darling’s power?" Rieka asked, unable to understand the restriction.

{You’re right. However, if my assumption is correct, the Secret Realm will recognize any being originating from this world. Even if they’re undead, they still possess considerable strength, so they might be prevented from entering.}

"She’s right," Nyxara agreed with Liya’s explanation.

Nova pondered the matter for a few seconds before speaking.

"Well, it doesn’t matter much anyway. As you said, there’s time dilation inside the Secret Realm. And if it’s an entirely different world or an isolated space..."

He paused briefly before continuing.

"I won’t be able to contact anyone inside, and neither you, my parents, nor my Deadborns will be able to enter the System Space."

He wasn’t entirely certain whether that would be the case, but it was a possibility he needed to consider.

"Besides, having all of them remain outside will give me peace of mind, knowing they’ll keep everyone I care about safe. Though I really need to get some stronger Deadborns soon."

Everyone listened to Nova’s words and understood his reasoning. Their husband was already extraordinarily powerful, so they weren’t particularly worried about his ability to survive inside the Secret Realm.

Still, Nyxara and Velena couldn’t help feeling concerned about the dangers he might face. They were especially worried about Asia and Rieka, as the Secret Realm was bound to be dangerous for them.

"Don’t worry about everyone outside, Husband. I can take care of them!" Nyxara declared confidently, puffing out her chest.

Nova chuckled lightly.

"I’m not questioning your strength, my wife. I know you’ll protect everyone I care about. Still, the more power we have on our side, the more at ease I can be."

He trusted Nyxara, but trust alone wouldn’t eliminate every possible threat. Having another powerful ally would make things much easier.

"If only we could get one more strong ally above Level 5 Sovereign... That would be ideal," Nova muttered.

"What about that Aurora lady? She knows you’re the Slaughter Monarch, yet she’s still keeping your identity a secret," Rieka suggested.

"No, honey. I’m still not sure what to think of her. Who knows? She might use that information against me in the future."

Nova wasn’t willing to trust someone simply because she hadn’t exposed him yet. There could be countless reasons behind Aurora’s silence, and he had no intention of making assumptions without understanding her motives.

"I won’t deny that possibility. But from what I’ve heard about her, she prefers to stay out of these power Plays. She rarely leaves her continent—or, to be more precise, she spends most of her time in solitude."

{She’s quite an odd one, isn’t she?}

Liya remarked thoughtfully. The others agreed with her.

Still, they were pleased to know that Nova hadn’t been blinded by Aurora’s beauty and was considering every possibility rationally. After all, no matter how beautiful or powerful someone was, that alone wasn’t enough to earn his trust.

"It’s fine. We still have time, so let’s see what happens in the future. For now, let’s head to the Imperial Kingdom first," Nova said, reassuring them.

However, he then turned toward Nyxara.

"Though we still need to keep an eye on two powerful beings who are constantly looking for you and me."

"Your father and Demon Lord Elaris... Although I didn’t sense your father’s presence in the capital after the battle ended, I felt Elaris’s aura several times. She’s still somewhere in this kingdom. I’ve already sent my Deadborns to investigate," Nova explained with a sigh.

"That bitch won’t stop! She’s in heat! Fuck, I just want to kill her!" Nyxara cursed, her blood boiling at the mere thought of Elaris.

Seeing her reaction, Velena placed a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"What if we could turn her into an ally?" Rieka suddenly suggested.

"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Nyxara shouted immediately.

"Relax, Sister Nyxara. At least hear me out first. It’s just a suggestion. If we could somehow make her our ally, we’d have another powerful figure on our side."

"I understand what you mean, and I know she’s a Level 9 Sovereign, just like Aurora. But befriending her isn’t possible. She’s far too cunning," Nyxara replied, calming down a little.

"She’s right, honey. Besides, I don’t think I’m powerful enough to tame her. She’s quite the thirsty one," Nova added.

"Sigh...Darling, I wasn’t suggesting that you make her your wife! I meant turning her into a potential ally!" Rieka replied exasperatedly.

"I know what you mean, and don’t get me wrong, my love. But let’s work with what we have for now. We’re not in any immediate danger, and we still have some time before the Secret Realm opens."

"Although it isn’t much time, I’ll think of something. And don’t worry, I’ll keep your suggestion in mind," Nova said as he gently caressed Rieka’s cheek, not wanting her to feel bad.
