Chapter 1632 - Chapter 1632: You Wouldn’t Bear to Do That

Alice Turner knew that Autumn York harbored many grievances against her, but she didn’t care at all about the things Autumn said to her, nor about Autumn’s unfriendly attitude.

It wasn’t that she was pretending to be a saint; she simply didn’t want to get caught up with the person next to her. She loved that man and couldn’t let him be too troubled.

"Mom! We’ll be seeing each other every day from now on, so you have to get used to my thick-skinnedness. That’s how the two of us can get along happily." Alice Turner’s smile didn’t diminish due to Autumn’s previous words; she hugged Autumn even tighter.

Autumn York could hardly believe her ears, looking at Alice Turner holding onto her. She felt like she might have encountered a knock-off version of Alice Turner.

The Alice Turner she had previously investigated wasn’t like this. She scrutinized the person before her and blurted out, "Are you a fake Alice Turner?"

"Mom! You’re really funny. I don’t have the ability to impersonate like the Six-Eared Monkey." Autumn’s words reminded Alice Turner of the true and false Monkey King from Journey to the West, so she responded plainly.

Upon hearing this, Autumn quickly rolled her eyes, "I wish you were the Six-Eared Monkey, then I could ask Buddha to take you away."

"Mom! You couldn’t bear to do that. If you let someone take me away, where would you find such a good daughter-in-law like me?" Alice still maintained a happy expression, her face radiant with smiles.

As Alice finished speaking, Autumn gave her another eye roll, "Is Thomas aware of how thick-skinned you are?"

"He probably knows, right? I’m not too sure. I’ll ask him later and give you a definite answer." Alice ignored Autumn’s eye roll, happily walking out of the house arm-in-arm with her.

Sophia Wood and Rosie Thompson were playing in the yard with Evie. Seeing Alice and Autumn come out arm-in-arm, Sophia immediately used her eyes to inquire, "What’s the situation with you two?"

"Mom! My mother-in-law and I are going for a walk; we’ll be back shortly." Alice understood Sophia’s silent inquiry and waved to her mom, signaling her to rest assured.

Rosie and Evie were children, unable to understand the adult situation. The two little ones ran over to Alice, with Rosie speaking first, "Auntie! Where are you and Grandma Autumn going? Evie and I want to go too."

"Auntie and Grandma Autumn have some matters to discuss, you two stay here and play with Grandma,"

Before Alice could speak, Sophia walked over and pulled Rosie and Evie to her side.

"Alright then, Auntie! Goodbye, Grandma Autumn!"

Rosie was very obedient and didn’t fuss about going with Alice, raising her little hand to wave goodbye to the two of them.

Seeing her sister like this, Evie also quickly raised her little hand to say goodbye to Auntie and Grandma Autumn, "Goodbye Auntie! Goodbye Grandma Autumn!"

"Goodbye, you two sweethearts!"

Alice waved goodbye to her adorable little nieces. If her relationship with her mother-in-law were better, she would definitely take the two little darlings out to play—they were just too cute.

Looking at the adorable, pretty Rosie and Evie, Autumn suddenly felt a softening in her heart and subconsciously showed a kind expression in her eyes.

"Let’s take Rosie and Evie for a walk too." Looking at the two adorable little ones, she blurted out this suggestion without thinking.
