Chapter 1633 - Chapter 1633: Why Don't You Remarry Benjamin?

Autumn York spoke unconsciously, her voice very light, but clear enough for Alice Turner and Sophia Wood standing beside her to hear.

“Mom! Are you serious?”

Alice Turner had been watching Autumn York, witnessing her behavior just now. She knew Autumn was in a daze, but she saw a gentle gleam in her eyes.

Her mother-in-law really liked kids, and who wouldn’t like such an adorable child?

Autumn York suddenly snapped back to reality, only to realize what she had just said, showing an awkward expression, “Let’s hurry outside for a walk, I’m stuffed.”

Saying that, she tugged at herself and started walking towards the outside of the yard.

Watching Autumn York like this, Alice Turner and Sophia Wood found it quite endearing, and the two of them exchanged knowing smiles.

“Mom! Slow down, we’re going for a walk, not a race.” Alice Turner was being pulled a bit unsteadily by Autumn York, but fortunately she was young and strong, and she managed to steady her disrupted steps.

“You’re so troublesome.”

Though Autumn York spoke rudely, her movements did slow down.

Alice Turner felt it immediately, a larger smile appearing on her lips. For once, she didn’t retort at her mother-in-law, laughing as she walked out of the yard gate with her.

“Where are we going?”

As they stepped outside the yard, Autumn York suddenly seemed lost, not knowing which direction to go.

Alice Turner lifted another hand to point in a direction, “We’ll walk that way, there’s a small park not too far, lots of people go for walks there in the evening.”

With more people around, it wouldn’t feel so awkward between them, so she led her mother-in-law towards the small park.

All the way, Autumn York didn’t speak, her eyes looking ahead, appearing to watch the road, but Alice Turner knew she was lost in thought.

Alice Turner thoughtfully didn’t interrupt Autumn’s thoughts, hooking her arm as they walked toward the small park, briefly acting as Autumn York’s eyes.

“Why don’t you remarry Benjamin?”

“Huh?”

After a long silence, Autumn York suddenly spoke, and Alice Turner didn’t react immediately, looking at her with confusion.

Initially, Autumn York thought she was pretending, but seeing the confusion in her eyes, she realized she wasn’t.

Looking at her, Autumn York repeated the question, “Why don’t you remarry Benjamin?”

That boy got hurt for this girl, it’s obvious that he still loves her.

In her view, with their marital foundation, remarrying seemed the wisest choice.

“There’s no affection between us.”

Alice Turner replied straightforwardly, without any awkwardness or discomfort.

Upon hearing this, Autumn York frowned immediately, “How can there be no affection between you two? Benjamin was so hurt saving you; how could he have risked his life if he didn’t love you?”

In her view, there was emotion between them, they just hadn’t realized it yet.

“Whether Benjamin loves me or not, I don’t know, and I don’t want to know, but I know I don’t love him; the one I love is Thomas.” Alice Turner paused and then continued, “Benjamin saved me, but I won’t repay him with marriage; that wouldn’t be fair to me, Benjamin, nor to Thomas. It would also be an insult to both of them.”

The relationship between the three was already complicated enough, she couldn’t let it become even more so.
